I'm here today to tell you to stop trying to pigeon-hole your diverse self that really just wants to fly free.
I'm here today to tell you to embrace all the many interesting facets of your personality & abilities, and to use all of this to your advantage. How?
Mush all of your awesomeness together and start your own business!
Seriously, there has never been a better time.
More and more of us are finding we simply don't fit into the rigid roles outlined for us in job descriptions, and not only that, we aren't willing to squander our best selves in order to fit into them. So many of us spend time looking for that job where we naturally fit, or think we'll have to compromise to find something that is at least partially aligned with who we are, OR we think we just haven't found "IT" yet -- that single thing we are so passionate about where we will want to spend 100% of our time focusing on it.
For you, however, I'm going to guess that "IT" doesn't exist. You're too diverse, open-minded, and fluid; you love trying new & different things, and you're constantly growing and changing.
You, my friend, are hard-wired to be an entrepreneur and do your own thing. You are meant to create something that can change and grow as you yourself change and grow, and where most importantly of all, you can use ALL of you in your work. You can combine your jack-of-all-trades into one amazing ball of awesomeness that only YOU can offer, and your business is going to rock because of it.

There has never been a better time to start your own business; everything is in your favor.
1. The age of the Internet is upon us.I don't know if you noticed this Internet thing but ya, it's gotten pretty big. No more are the days of slow dial-up and getting yelled at for hogging the phone line by chatting with your friends on MSN (fun times...).
The best part about all this Internet stuff for you & your business is... low start-up costs! (I should be clear I'm referring to service-based businesses here -- I'm not super knowledgeable on other kind of businesses). Marketing on the Internet can be extremely cheap and often times, it's completely free.
About 70% of my clients have found me online, and lots of people know what I'm up to thanks to my blog and social media. I haven't spent any money on this, other than the occasional paid-to-promote post on Facebook. Having a good website & blog is key to success in this area. However, because Wordpress.org is so awesome and easy to use, you can figure out how to set one up for yourself pretty easy, or at the very least, learn how to maintain it yourself.
Personally, I set up my own website (using online tutorials and google), and then hired a pro (Caroline Calvert Creative) to take it to the next level. In total, I've probably spent about $500 on my website. Chris Guillebeau, author of the $100 Start-Up, would likely argue that even at that, I've spent way too much.

2. There are countless people to learn from.One of the best things you can do to ensure success for yourself in any endeavour, is to find someone who is already successful at what you want to do, and model them.
I can't tell you how many people are there are longing to help you start your business. There are business coaches and mentors galore, all you have to do is find one that is successful in a similar area you want to work in (and feels like a good fit). If they don't officially market themselves as a "mentor", ask if they will mentor you anyway. If this isn't a service they typically offer, offer to pay them for their time anyway so you secure the mentoring relationship and get the access to them that you need. Another benefit to investing in mentorship is that you yourself will be much more committed to the relationship and getting the results from it that you want.
My own investment in my first business coach to help me start my business is one of the best investments I ever made - this is not a journey I could have done on my own.
3. Anything goes. Seriously.
You can mush together all your diverse interests, passions, skills, and strengths to come up with some wacky of-the-wall idea and as long as you market it right, you can be successful. You really could not have said the same thing 50 years ago.
For example, Noel Biderman at Ashley Madison runs a successful dating website marketed towards those already in a committed relationship, using the tagline "Life is short. Have an affair." The website gets about 1.8 million hits per month. It's hard to imagine a business like this would have been able to exist on such a large scale & remain anonymous to its users 50 years ago (thank you Internet?).
Other examples are Doggles (goggles for your dog), synthetic wishbones you can order for special occasions, or travelling the world creating rainbows at events.
Here's my point: The Internet (and affordable travel) provide such a large audience, that you can come up with the most random and obscure niche you can think of, and with some good marketing, you can have thousands of people around the world interested in what you have to offer.
Anything really does go.
